Ashwaubenon, WI Fire Regulations: Fire Pits & Backyard Fires (2026)

Article 13 of Chapter 6, Businesses, sets fire-pit standards as part of the minimum operating requirements every licensed short-term rental in the Village of Ashwaubenon must meet. Section 6-13-27(8) bars a wood burning fire pit or other similar solid fuel fired device used for heating or any other purpose from any balcony, deck, or space under an overhanging structure, and separately bars the same device within a distance the code text itself prints as 'within twenty (25) feet of any structure,' a mismatch between the printed word and numeral quoted here exactly as published.
