Under Clark County Code § 13.04.260 (local Fire Code Section 5609), consumer fireworks may be ignited only between July 1 and July 4 of each sales year, and never within 300 feet of a fireworks booth, fuel dispenser, or flammable-liquid storage. "Dangerous fireworks", firecrackers, aerial and skyrocket devices, Roman candles, and several other categories, are banned outright in the unincorporated towns. Violations are misdemeanors with fines up to $1,000 and up to 6 months in jail, plus separate civil penalties up to $10,000 based on the weight of fireworks seized.
