The NJ Uniform Fire Code is locally enforced in Lakewood by the Ocean County Bureau of Fire Safety under the supervision of the Ocean County Fire Marshal. This includes regulation of fireworks, explosives, and related materials per NFPA 495 and NFPA 1124.
