CCC §13.04.260 makes it unlawful to possess, use, sell, or store dangerous fireworks anywhere in unincorporated Clark County. Only Safe-N-Sane fireworks may be ignited, and only between July 1 and July 4 each year.
Clark County Code §13.04.260 (Explosives and Fireworks) prohibits possessing, using, exploding, offering, displaying for sale, holding, or storing any and all dangerous fireworks in the unincorporated towns of Clark County, Nevada (which includes Paradise). 'Dangerous fireworks' include fireworks containing chemicals prohibited by NFPA 1124, firecrackers, salutes and other articles that explode, skyrockets and rockets that rise in the air, Roman candles, sparklers more than 10 inches in length or 1/4 inch in diameter, and any fireworks designed to create surprise upon the user. The narrow exception is for fireworks labeled 'Safe-N-Sane' by the State Fire Marshal — these may only be sold during the week leading up to July 4, and ignition is prohibited before July 1 or after July 4 of each year. Possession of consumer fireworks purchased on tribal land or imported from Pahrump is still illegal once brought into Paradise.
Persons who operate occupancies and fail to abate fireworks hazards are guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000 and/or imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 6 months. Every day a violation continues constitutes a separate offense. LVMPD aggressively enforces around July 4 — call-in tips at the ISpyFireworks.com online tool result in citation if fireworks are observed.
