Safe-and-sane consumer fireworks are legal in unincorporated Clark County June 28โJuly 4 only under ยง13.04.260. Must carry CA State Fire Marshal seal. All aerial and exploding fireworks remain illegal. This contrasts with total bans in Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas.
Clark County Code ยง13.04.260 permits Safe-and-Sane (1.4G consumer) fireworks in unincorporated areas from June 28 through July 4 only. Fireworks must bear the California State Fire Marshal's Safe and Sane seal/label. They are sold only at locally licensed and inspected portable retail stands by nonprofit groups per Southern Nevada Fire Chiefs Association guidelines. All aerial fireworks, firecrackers, Roman candles, and skyrockets remain illegal. Possession outside the June 28โJuly 4 window is illegal. Fireworks purchased from Pahrump, Amargosa Valley, or Moapa Band of Paiutes may be illegal in Clark County. No fireworks of any kind at Clark County Wetlands Park, other county parks, Mount Charleston, Lake Mead, or Red Rock Canyon. This makes unincorporated Clark County the only area in the Las Vegas Valley where consumer fireworks are legal. Report illegal fireworks at ISpyFireworks.com.
Illegal fireworks: minimum $500 fine. Large quantities: up to $10,000 (per 2021 state legislation). Fireworks confiscated. 'You Light It, We Write It' enforcement campaign.
