Casa Grande, AZ Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Sidewalk & Mobile Vending (2026)

Casa Grande Municipal Code Section 5.16.040(F)(3) requires that a mobile food unit and its customers not obstruct the movement of pedestrians or other vehicles using the sidewalk, street, alley, or other public right-of-way. Section 5.16.040(I) then sets the parking rules that keep vending off the sidewalk itself: a mobile food unit may only operate in a "legal parking space," defined by Section 5.16.020(A) as a paved, City right-of-way area designated for vehicle parking and marked by road surface markings, and it may occupy no more than one legal parking space unless the vendor has a separate agreement with the City for additional spaces or for spaces on City property other than right-of-way.

A unit longer than twenty-four feet cannot park diagonally in a diagonal space or otherwise take up more than one such space, and no unit may operate with its serving window facing street traffic. Absent other posted time limits, a unit cannot occupy a legal parking space for more than six hours within a twenty-four-hour period, with "occupy" defined as staying within one hundred feet of where it first parked. A vendor may never claim an exclusive right to a street location outside a permitted event.
