Type I home occupations prohibit outside employees and limit activity to household members. Type II allows one outside employee and limited client visits. All home occupations must not be detrimental or disruptive to neighboring properties.
TMC 18.760 requires that home occupations remain subordinate to residential use. The Director may revoke a home occupation approval if conditions are not met or if the business is detrimental to the neighborhood. Complaints may be filed by the city or public. Business license is required annually under TMC 5.04 (January 1–December 31).
