Lyon County Code § 15.335.03(W) folds 'Daycare with six (6) or less children or adults' directly into its Home Occupation, General list, meaning a small in-home daycare needs no separate use permit beyond meeting the same six standards that apply to every occupation on that list. The daycare has to be conducted entirely inside the residence and stay clearly incidental to the family living there without changing the home's residential character. Only residents of the dwelling may run the daycare, with no more than one nonresident assistant on staff, and the use is capped at 25 percent of one floor of the principal building.

Drop-off and pick-up parking has to be handled off-street, including any parent parking, and a driveway can satisfy that requirement only when it sits on the same parcel as the home. No outdoor storage tied to the daycare is allowed. Because the list caps the household at 'six or less children or adults,' a home wanting to care for more has to pursue the separate 'Adult or child daycare, 7 or more adults or children' use category listed elsewhere in the same performance-standards table, which triggers its own siting review rather than qualifying as a home occupation. Every in-home daycare must also carry a valid Lyon County business license.
