Under SMMC §9.31.160, there shall be no signs other than the address and name of any resident. There shall be no outdoor advertising that identifies the home occupation. The home occupation must not alter the appearance of the dwelling such that it appears to serve a non-residential use, including by signs, lighting, sounds, or materials. No commercial vehicles may be used for delivery except reasonable courier services. The restriction is comprehensive — no banners, placards, window signs, yard signs, or any visual indicator of a business operating from the premises.
Business signage at a home occupation is a direct violation of SMMC §9.31.160. Code enforcement may issue citations and order sign removal.
