Section 348-8.26 of the Toms River Township Code governs all signage. Zoning and/or Construction (UCC) permits are required for exterior signs. Home occupations in residential zones are generally not permitted to display exterior business signage, consistent with the requirement that the business be incidental and subordinate to the residential use. Non-conforming signs or uses not permitted in a specific zone may require an application to the Planning Board or Zoning Board of Adjustment. The Zoning Office reviews all sign permit applications.
