Full Breakdown

Sec. 17-2-2(72) of the Pueblo Municipal Code defines a home based business as an accessory use in a single- or two-family residence carried on only by the residents. The Table of Uses makes it a conditional use in every residential, most business, and the agricultural zone districts. Sec. 17-4-51(e)(23) sets the operating limits: no employee besides family living on site, no hazardous chemicals, no exterior change to the building, no outdoor storage or display, no signage over two square feet, and no more than 25% of the dwelling's net floor area used for the business. Clients and customers may not visit the home.
