Yuma's zoning code does not set a citywide decibel limit for generators in general; the city's separate noise ordinance in Chapter 133 regulates only electronically amplified sound (public address systems, loudspeakers and similar equipment) against a table of maximum and continuous sound-pressure levels, and does not mention generators at all. The specific generator limit that does exist in the Yuma City Code sits inside the mobile food vending rules: § 154-15.13(B)(1)(d) bars mobile food vendors operating on private property from using 'bells, chimes, microphones, generators louder than 70 decibels at 10 feet, loudspeakers, amplified music, strobe lights, spot lights or any other audible or visual disturbance' as part of the vending operation. The generator limit sits alongside the vending chapter's other operational rules: food vending units on private property cannot operate between midnight and 5:00 a.m. (§154-15.13(B)(1)(a)), and every unit and its accessory structures must be removed from the site during hours of non-operation (§154-15.13(B)(1)(b)).
