Chapter 9.32 of the Encinitas Municipal Code establishes exterior noise level limits for all land use zones. Single-family residential zones are limited to 50 dB from 7 AM to 10 PM and 45 dB from 10 PM to 7 AM. Multi-family residential allows 55 dB daytime and 50 dB nighttime. Commercial zones permit 60 dB daytime and 55 dB nighttime.
