LMC 8.36.010 (Noise Control) prohibits yelling, shouting, whistling, or singing on or near public streets that disturbs the peace, particularly between 10 PM and 8 AM or at any time that unreasonably disturbs property owners or occupants. Residential maintenance and grounds sounds (lawnmowers, power tools, composters, snow removal) are prohibited between 10 PM and 7 AM on weekdays and between 10 PM and 9 AM on weekends. Public disturbance noises include frequent, repetitive, or continuous horn sounding; motor vehicle noise in residential districts; and audio equipment audible more than 50 feet from the source. Community events at parks (public address systems, concerts) are exempt between 9 AM and 11 PM.
