Full Breakdown
Henderson's noise code doesn't rely on a subjective nuisance test for cars: it sets bright-line rules. A radio, stereo or amplifier played in or on a motor vehicle on a public right-of-way or public space is a per se violation once it's plainly audible from 50 feet away, no complaint or officer judgment call needed. Separately, discharging any motor vehicle's exhaust into the open air without routing it through a muffler or sound-dissipation device is also a per se violation, covering straight-piped or gutted exhaust systems. The same chapter separately bans vehicle repair or testing noise that crosses a residential property line. Henderson police enforce under Municipal Code Chapter 8.84; a violation is a misdemeanor.
Violations & Fines
Misdemeanor citation from Henderson police; audible-at-50-feet stereos and unmuffled exhaust are per se violations regardless of whether anyone complains.
