Residential-to-residential disputes are handled under the nuisance provisions of Ch. 78 and via common-law nuisance. Floodlights and security lights must be aimed at and shielded to illuminate only the owner's property; wall-packs facing neighbors without shielding are typical violation triggers. Seasonal holiday lighting gets a customary exemption during November–January.
