Brief loading and unloading (up to 2 hours) is permitted. The restriction applies to tractor-trailers, dump trucks, box trucks, and commercial buses. Pickup trucks and vans under the weight limit used for personal transport are exempt. Enforcement is handled by Chesapeake Police and Code Compliance jointly.
