Coral Springs, FL Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

Section 18-5 defines a "commercial vehicle" as any truck, truck/tractor, semitrailer, trailer, tractor crane, power shovel, well driller or other off-road equipment, bus, non-emergency ambulance, wrecker or hearse that either carries outside lettering identifying a business or nonpersonal use or is classified as one of those vehicle types under the Florida Statutes. Every qualifying commercial vehicle must permanently display on each side the owner or lessee's name plus an address and phone number, or a corporate decal, in letters and numerals at least one and one-half inches high, in a color that contrasts with the vehicle and is readable from at least ten meters away; covering that lettering with a tarp or magnetic sign is itself a violation, as is any unlettered vehicle showing other signs of nonpersonal use.

" Narrow carve-outs exist for vehicles fully screened inside a garage or matching carport, vehicles used by a physically impaired driver with a doctor's certification, unmodified private passenger vans and pickups under 5,000 pounds, private passenger utility vehicles, personally lettered passenger cars, and vehicles on emergency calls. Violations run to the registered owner unless another driver's custody is documented within 15 days, and the Coral Springs Police Department and Code Compliance Division both ticket the vehicle directly.
