Some commercial vehicles (vans, pickup trucks) may be stored on residential property but must be screened from view. Special-purpose vehicles (race cars, swamp buggies) must be stored in a wholly enclosed garage.
Under Chapter 72 of the Hollywood Code of Ordinances, commercial vehicles may be parked in a residential district when engaged in business contracted by the property owner. Some commercial vehicles such as vans and pickup trucks may be stored on residential property, but they must be screened from view. No vehicle other than a passenger automobile is permitted to park in a public road right-of-way. All off-street parking spaces must be paved with asphalt, concrete, or pavers. Use of the public right-of-way for business purposes is prohibited. Commercial vehicle parking near the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk area is subject to additional restrictions.
Violations result in Code Enforcement citations. Vehicles parked in the right-of-way may be towed at owner's expense.
