Boats and RVs must be parked on a hard, improved surface (concrete, asphalt, or pavers) in the side or rear yard where accessible, and screened from adjacent properties by fence or hedge. One boat, RV, or trailer per property. RV not exceeding 25 ft may park on front driveway if rear is not accessible.
Section 72.121 of the Hollywood Code of Ordinances restricts recreational vehicle, boat, and trailer parking in residential areas. All such vehicles must be parked on a hard, improved surface. Boats and RVs must be parked in the side or rear yard where accessible, screened from adjacent property view by fence or hedge. Only one boat, RV, or trailer per property is permitted. No recreational vehicle, boat, or utility trailer exceeding 12 feet in height may be parked in any residential area except in a wholly enclosed garage. If the side or rear yard is inaccessible, an RV, boat, or trailer not exceeding 25 feet in length may be parked on the driveway, at least 5 feet from the front property line, perpendicular to the structure (except on circular driveways). Special-purpose vehicles like race cars and swamp buggies must be in a wholly enclosed garage. The city operates an RV Storage Facility for residents who cannot store large vehicles at home.
Vehicles parked in violation may be cited by Code Enforcement. RVs are prohibited in Hollywood Beach street parking areas. Contact: Office of Parking (954) 921-3535.
