Hollywood prohibits dead storage of vehicles on public right-of-way for more than 24 hours. All vehicles must display current registration and be in moveable condition with inflated tires. FL Β§316.1945 governs street parking statewide.
Chapter 72 of the Hollywood Code of Ordinances governs parking. Section 72.008 prohibits parking on streets marked for no all-night parking for more than 30 minutes between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM, except physicians or persons on emergency calls. Section 72.077 addresses overtime parking. All public parking spaces are limited to 24 hours. Vehicles may be parked temporarily on the swale for no more than 24 hours and must display a valid license tag and be in moveable condition with all tires inflated. Parking on lawns is prohibited. All off-street parking must be on paved surfaces (asphalt, concrete, or pavers). Section 72.009 prohibits parking for certain purposes and authorizes towing of ticketed vehicles not removed within 24 hours. The Hollywood Beach area has metered parking zones. Parking permits are available through the Office of Parking.
