Coral Springs strictly regulates recreational vehicle and boat parking under Section 18-5 of the Code of Ordinances. RVs, boats, and trailers are generally prohibited from overnight driveway parking. A pilot program (Ordinance 2022-102) allows weekend driveway parking from 6 AM Friday through 9 PM Sunday.
Section 18-5 of the Coral Springs Code of Ordinances governs parking and storage of recreational vehicles, defining them as truck campers, travel trailers, camper trailers, private motor coaches, boats, boat trailers, ultralight aircraft, airboats, motorhomes, and park trailers. The baseline code prohibits boats, trailers, motorhomes, and other recreational vehicles from being parked overnight on driveways, backyards, and public areas surrounding homes. An exception exists for vehicles stored inside a garage or carport that completely screens the vehicle from view using a wall, approved opaque fence, or continuous landscaping providing a complete visual screen on two sides with a permanent roof matching the primary structure. Ordinance 2022-102 established a pilot program allowing residents to park RVs on a paved driveway from 6 AM on Fridays until 9 PM on Sundays. If Monday falls on a federal holiday, the deadline extends to 9 PM Monday. This is notably stricter than many neighboring Broward cities.
Violations of RV/boat parking restrictions result in code enforcement citations. Fines are assessed under Section 1-8.1 of the Code of Ordinances.
