Full Breakdown

Edmond Code of Ordinances § 10.68.020 bars any truck, trailer, recreational vehicle, bus, or commercial vehicle that is 18 feet or longer from parking on a street whose principal use is residential living. The only exception is a stop for the immediate loading or unloading of persons or materials, and even that stop can't violate any other parking rule in Chapter 10.68. The trigger is length, not vehicle type, so a long RV or trailer is covered the same as an oversized commercial truck: this is separate from the weight/axle-based commercial-vehicle ban in § 10.68.025(c).

Violations & Fines

Parking a vehicle 18 feet or longer on a residential street, other than briefly loading or unloading, violates § 10.68.020 and draws a citation.

Frequently Asked Questions
