Oklahoma City §59-9150 requires vehicles parked on improved surfaces. Front lawn parking prohibited countywide across incorporated cities. Inoperable vehicles banned under county nuisance code.
Oklahoma City Municipal Code §59-9150 requires all vehicles to be parked on improved surfaces (concrete, asphalt, or approved pavers) in residential zones. Front yard parking on grass or dirt violates §59-9150(C) with $100 to $500 fines. Edmond Code §22-23 and Midwest City §30-98 mirror this rule. Inoperable vehicles cannot be stored in driveways under Oklahoma County Nuisance Ordinance §5-3 and OKC §27-62 (inoperable defined as flat tires, expired tags over 60 days, or missing parts). Driveway widening requires a permit from OKC Development Services or the respective city; most cities cap front-yard paving at 40 percent. Unincorporated areas still enforce the county abandoned-vehicle rule. Oklahoma County Sheriff handles enforcement in unincorporated areas.
Parking on unapproved surface: $100 to $500 (OKC §59-9150). Inoperable vehicles: removal order within 10 days, then impound and $250+ towing costs.
