City Code Chapter 72 and UDO Chapter 157 restrict commercial vehicle parking in residential zones (R1, R2, R3, MF1-4). Vehicles exceeding 10,000 pounds GVWR, 22 feet in length, or bearing commercial plates cannot be parked on residential streets or driveways for more than 2 hours except for legitimate service calls or active loading. This includes semi-tractors, tractor-trailers, box trucks, dump trucks, and large contractor vehicles. Pickup trucks and vans under the weight threshold used for personal transportation are exempt.
