The Allen County Traffic Code defines curb loading zones - passenger curb loading zones reserved for vehicles while loading or unloading passengers. Stopping outside those uses in a marked loading zone can be ticketed on county roadways.
The Allen County Traffic Ordinance (Title 8, Article 15) defines a 'Curb Loading Zone' as a curb space reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles while loading or unloading, and a 'Passenger Curb Loading Zone' as one reserved for loading or unloading passengers. These are established by markings and signs placed by the Allen County Highway Department. General street-parking prohibitions in the same code (near driveways, hydrants, crosswalks and intersections) also restrict where a vehicle may stand to load. Off-street loading requirements for businesses are set through the county zoning ordinance's parking standards.
Parking or standing in violation of loading-zone or curb restrictions is ticketed under the county traffic code: $10 base, rising to $20 after 14 days.
