Commercial vehicles over 4 tons are prohibited from parking on residential streets for more than one hour. They may not be stored in residential driveways.
Under Omaha Chapter 36, vehicles over 4 tons (including commercial trucks) may not park on residential streets except for loading/unloading for up to one hour. This rule applies to commercial trucks, semi-trailers, and similar large vehicles. Chapter 55 zoning rules may also prohibit commercial vehicle storage in residential zones. Owners of businesses operating from home should check home occupation rules under Β§55-767(c) regarding commercial vehicles associated with home-based businesses.
Commercial vehicles parked in violation may be cited and towed. Ongoing storage of commercial vehicles in residential areas can trigger nuisance enforcement.
