Petaluma Code §11.44.120 prohibits parking commercial vehicles in residential districts except while actively loading/unloading or performing services on properties in the same block.
A 'commercial vehicle' under this section generally means a vehicle with a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating exceeding the threshold set in the chapter or vehicles bearing commercial signage and used in trade. The active-service exception is narrow — the vehicle must be at the property where the service is being performed.
Standard parking citation; repeat offenders may have vehicles towed under CVC §22651.
