Section 26-47(a)(1) folds curb paint into the same enforcement scheme as posted signage. Clause i bars stopping, standing or parking at any place where official signs or yellow curb markings prohibit it, and clause j separately bars parking alongside or adjacent to any curb painted yellow, so the paint alone is enough to make the space off-limits even without a sign nearby. Authority to designate where curbs get marked traces back to Sec. 26-3, which lets the city manager control traffic by marking off and designating parking spaces, and requires the city manager to appoint a director of traffic engineering to install and maintain those markings under Sec.

26-4. Because Sec. 26-46 treats every Sec. 26-47 violation as a public nuisance and trespass, parking against a yellow curb draws the same noncriminal parking infraction, fee under Appendix A, and registered-owner liability as parking on a sidewalk or blocking a hydrant. An officer, police service technician or parking enforcement specialist who finds a vehicle at a yellow curb places a notice of violation on the windshield identifying the section violated and the administrative fee, and the vehicle's registered owner can contest the citation only by responding within the window set on the notice.
