Because the section requires no posted signs, the prohibition applies citywide and is enforceable wherever a vehicle blocks a driveway or pedestrian way. The same section prohibits parking within fifteen (15) feet of a fire hydrant and within twenty (20) feet of a crosswalk, mirroring the state standard. These city rules align with Idaho Code 49-660, which prohibits stopping, standing, or parking in front of a public or private driveway, on a sidewalk, within an intersection, within a crosswalk, and within 15 feet of a fire hydrant. For a vehicle parked in a private driveway on the owner's own property, Caldwell does not generally restrict simple driveway parking, though the vehicle must not extend over the sidewalk or into the street travel lane. A ticket may be issued to the registered owner of any vehicle parked in violation, and offending vehicles may be towed upon order of the police department or a city-authorized parking officer.
