Caldwell, ID Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Most residential streets in Caldwell permit on-street parking without a posted time limit, but core downtown streets are time-restricted under City Code 09-07-12 (Downtown Parking Restrictions). The city operates two time-limited on-street parking designations: a three (3) hour limit within the Downtown City Center District and a four (4) hour limit within the broader Downtown Parking District along specified streets. The City Center District is defined as extending from the railroad tracks to the centerline of Cleveland Boulevard, and from the centerline of South 5th Avenue to the centerline of South 10th Avenue. Downtown time limits are enforced by parking officers Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The city installed time-limit signage in the downtown core in early 2026 with a two-week grace period before tickets were issued. Separately, City Code 09-07-09 (Parking Prohibited; Markings or Signs Required) makes it unlawful to park adjacent to a painted curb, striped surface, or posted no-parking sign, and to leave a vehicle parked in violation of any duly installed parking sign or marking.
