Parking for single-family residential uses... shall be prohibited within the yard area between the street cartway... and the building, except on a paved driveway not exceeding the width of an attached garage facing the street; or, where there is no attached garage facing the street, one-third of the lot width.

Code Sec. 32-134 prohibits parking in the yard between the street and the house except on a paved driveway not exceeding the width of an attached garage facing the street, or one-third of the lot width where none exists. Parking on any other yard portion or on a lawn is prohibited, and combined driveways/pads may not cover more than 50 percent of the front-yard area. Exceptions include lots over one acre, side/rear yards behind a six-foot opaque fence, gatherings, and short-term (under six hours) repairs. Corner lots may park one vehicle on an unpaved side at least 20 feet from the cartway.
