Full Breakdown

Manteca Municipal Code § 17.52.090(B)(3) confines single-family residential parking to designated driveways: vehicles may not be parked on landscape areas within the required or actual front or street-side yard. Related standards in the same subsection require driveways serving a garage or carport to be at least 20 feet deep, and corner-lot driveways to stay at least 20 feet from the curb radius return, so paving over a front lawn as an oversized parking apron doesn't satisfy the rule, it has to meet the City's driveway design standards.

Violations & Fines

Code Enforcement can cite homeowners for parking on grass, dirt, or landscaped areas instead of a designated driveway; continued noncompliance is enforced as a zoning code violation.
