Manteca prohibits parking any vehicle on a public street or alley for more than 72 consecutive hours under MMC Title 10. Oversized vehicles (over 20 ft long, 7 ft high, or 7 ft wide) are banned from residential streets MondayโFriday.
MMC Title 10 (Vehicles and Traffic) prohibits parking any vehicle on a city street or alley for more than 72 consecutive hours. Oversized vehicles exceeding 20 feet in length, 7 feet in height, or 7 feet in width are not permitted to park on public streets Monday through Friday (federal holidays excepted). The prohibition is justified by safety and traffic flow concerns. Pickup trucks under 25 feet in length and 82 inches in height are excluded from the oversized vehicle definition. Loading/unloading or emergency repair exceptions allow up to 24 hours. Parallel parking requirements apply except when a commercial vehicle is actively loading/unloading freight.
Vehicles parked over 72 hours may be ticketed and towed. Oversized vehicle violations subject to citation.
