City Code § 5-287 adds IPMC § 302.8.1, requiring every motor vehicle be parked, kept or stored only in an approved off-street parking area or on an improved street. The same sentence separately prohibits parking or driving a vehicle over curbs, sidewalks, yards, courts, planting areas, or any other place not intended for vehicular traffic: covering the common front-yard or unpaved-surface parking complaint. The rule sits in the City's Property Maintenance Code (Chapter 5, Article XII) and is enforced by the Code Official through the chapter's standard notice-and-correction process, the same mechanism used for weeds, junk vehicles and other exterior-property violations.
