Florissant, MO Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Section 360.010 gives the City Traffic Engineer authority to determine where curb loading zones sit and to post signs stating the hours during which the zone applies. A private business or property owner can also request a dedicated curb loading zone under Section 360.020 by applying for a permit, paying a $10.00 annual service fee, and receiving two signs marking the zone's ends; the permit expires after one year and must be renewed. Once a zone is posted, Section 360.030 limits standing in a passenger curb loading zone to the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers, capped at three minutes, during the zone's posted hours. Section 360.040 applies the same expeditious-use standard to freight curb loading zones, limiting standing there to the loading, unloading, delivery or pickup of materials, without a separate fixed minute cap in the text. None of these sections states its own fine, so violations default to the City's general penalty clause.
