Pageland, SC Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Section 32-95 of the Pageland Town Code, part of Chapter 32, Article IV (Standing, Stopping, Parking), governs every curb space marked as a loading zone in town. It bars anyone from stopping, standing or parking a vehicle in a marked loading zone for any purpose or length of time other than for the expeditious unloading and delivery or pickup and loading of materials, and only while the posted hours for that zone are in effect. Even a vehicle actually being loaded or unloaded cannot occupy the space indefinitely: the code sets a hard ceiling, stating that in no case shall the stop for loading and unloading of materials exceed 30 minutes.

A driver who parks in a loading zone to shop, wait for a passenger, or run any errand unrelated to moving materials is in violation the moment the vehicle stops, regardless of how long it stays. 401 and sits alongside the neighboring rules on blocking streets (Section 32-96), manner of parking (Section 32-97) and fire-hydrant clearance (Section 32-99) in the same article. Pageland's police department enforces loading-zone signage along with the rest of Chapter 32. 00 fine, 30 days imprisonment, or both, with each day of a continuing violation treated as a new offense.
