Chapter 455, adopted in 1939 to regulate tourist parks and camps, defines an "automobile trailer or house car" as any vehicle mounted on wheels and used or arranged for living or sleeping quarters. Section 455-12, the chapter's visitor exception, blocks using or parking such a vehicle for living or sleeping quarters anywhere in Greenburgh outside a licensed automobile tourist park or camp. The only carve-out covers a nonpaying guest of a Town resident: one trailer or housecar may sit on the resident's property for no more than 72 hours in any single month, provided it is not used as living quarters, meets the Zoning Ordinance's setback requirements, and sits at least 10 feet from any building or other such vehicle.
