Section 28-132(d) makes it unlawful to park any trailer, of any capacity, on a street adjacent to property zoned or used for residential purposes. Subsection (e) limits homes in the R-1, R-1A, RM-1, RT-1, R-2, R-3, R-3F, R-3A, and R-MP zoning districts to one trailer visible from a public right-of-way at a time, and that trailer cannot exceed 16 feet, measured without the tongue, and cannot encroach on any street, right-of-way, or sidewalk. Subsection (a) defines 'travel trailer' broadly to include pickup campers, converted buses, self-powered motor homes, tent trailers, and tents, and defines 'boat' as a boat trailer carrying a boat.

Section 28-134 adds a separate rule for boats and travel trailers specifically: owners cannot park or leave one standing on a public street, or on private property in a way that encroaches on a public street or right-of-way, including a sidewalk. Two narrow exceptions apply: the owner is actively loading or unloading goods or equipment, or the boat or trailer is otherwise legally parked for 24 hours or less because a mechanical defect makes it unsafe to move. Subsection (f) of Section 28-132 clarifies that legitimate commercial delivery or pickup, documented by a bill of lading, work order, or routing sheet, is exempt from the trailer restrictions, but that exemption does not authorize overnight parking of the delivery vehicle or trailer itself.
