Sec. 27-12-6-17 (Ord. No. 2856, June 4, 2018) requires the owner of a recreational vehicle to obtain and display a free parking permit within 8 hours of parking on a residential street. On-street parking is limited to 6 consecutive days and no more than 18 days in any 90-day period, the RV must sit at the permitted address, and it must move for at least 24 hours between six-day stints. Permits are free through Accela online or at the East Mesa Public Safety Complex and City Hall permit counter. Off-street RV storage is governed by Land Development Code Secs. 38-57 and 38-58. Under Sec. 27-12-6-6.15, leaving any boat trailer or other trailer unhitched on a public way is unlawful.
Parking violations are handled as municipal traffic offenses; over-limit or unpermitted RVs are subject to citation and ticketing by Codes Enforcement, and unhitched trailers on public ways are unlawful.
