UDO Β§230-20.4 restricts RVs, boats, and trailers in residential zones to side/rear yard, behind the front building line. Max one RV per lot. Cannot be occupied as dwelling. HOAs often ban entirely.
Gwinnett Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Β§230-20.4 allows residents to store one recreational vehicle, camper, boat, or utility trailer on a single-family lot only behind the front building line β typically side or rear yard, screened from street view where possible. RVs may not be connected to water/sewer or used as a residence, except for short guest visits not exceeding 14 days per year with written notice. Storage on public right-of-way (including the grass strip) is prohibited. Many Gwinnett HOAs prohibit visible RV storage entirely.
Code Enforcement citation, 15-day cure notice, then $250-$1,000 daily fine. Living in an RV: immediate abatement order.
