Nampa, ID Parking Rules: RV & Boat Parking (2026)

Recreational vehicle and trailer parking on residential property is regulated by Nampa City Code Title 10, Chapter 22 (Off-Street Parking), section 10-22-1.C. Recreational vehicles, pickups, automobiles, trailers, boat trailers, campers, and all other vehicles not in daily use may be parked off driveways within the front-yard setback area of residentially zoned properties, but only on a surface of appropriate dustless material such as gravel, concrete, or asphalt. The key height rule: any recreational vehicle, trailer, or large object taller than 3 feet must be parked behind the 15-foot front-yard setback that applies to the livable space of the structure. Ordinary passenger vehicles (car, truck, van, motorcycle) are not subject to that 15-foot setback. Section 10-22-1.D separately restricts storing generic commercial vehicles and equipment on residential property, with limited exceptions (one vehicle under 15,000 GVWR as allowed by 10-1-10.B.4, or equipment present during active on-site construction, which may not be stored more than one year).
