Pasadena regulates off-street parking under Sec. 9-7 and Chapter 36 (Traffic). RVs and boats stored on residential property must be parked on improved surfaces. Street parking of oversized vehicles is subject to traffic ordinance restrictions.
Pasadena requires off-street parking on improved surfaces constructed to minimum standards under Sec. 9-7.1. Residential parking requires 3.5 inches of 2500 PSI concrete with wire mesh or 1.5 inches of asphalt on a compacted base. RVs, boats, and trailers parked on residential property should be on paved surfaces. Mobile homes on private lots require 2 off-street parking spaces per dwelling. Chapter 36 (Traffic) Article VII governs stopping, standing, and parking on public streets. The city's Code Enforcement may address RVs and boats creating nuisance conditions or blocking right-of-way. Deed restrictions in many subdivisions may impose additional restrictions on RV and boat parking visibility.
