Recreational vehicles, boats, and trailers may be stored on residential property in side or rear yards only, per Penn Hills Zoning Ordinance performance standards. Front-yard and on-street long-term RV storage is prohibited.
The Penn Hills Zoning Ordinance (adopted 2020, available at pennhills.org) limits the outdoor storage of RVs, travel trailers, boats, and utility trailers on residential lots to side or rear yards. RVs cannot be used as permanent or temporary dwellings. Units must be owned by the resident and be in operable, registered condition. On-street storage beyond 24 hours is generally disallowed on residential streets. Violations are cited through Code Enforcement.
