Sanger Municipal Code regulates the parking and storage of recreational vehicles, boats, and trailers on residential property. RVs and boats may be stored in side or rear yards behind approved screening. Front-yard storage of unscreened RVs is restricted.
The Sanger Municipal Code requires that recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, and similar large equipment stored on residential property be located in side or rear yards and screened from public view where feasible. Vehicles must be currently registered and in operable condition. RVs parked in driveways or front yard areas must not block sidewalks or obstruct sight lines at intersections. RVs may not be used as living quarters while parked on residential property unless a temporary-use permit is obtained for guests (typically limited to 14 days). Utility hookups to parked RVs for habitation purposes are not permitted without approval. Boats on trailers must be stored in a manner that does not encroach on public rights-of-way. The Sanger Code Enforcement Division handles complaints about improperly stored recreational vehicles.
Code enforcement violations for improper RV or boat storage result in a notice to comply followed by administrative citations. Habitation of an RV on residential property without a permit may result in separate zoning violations.
