06(23)(c) governs boat parking as well. That rule lets a recreational vehicle sit on a residential lot as though it were a passenger vehicle, provided it is not used to store goods, materials, or equipment beyond what is part of the RV or boat itself or essential to its function, meaning a boat trailer cannot double as a place to stash lumber or extra gear. Placement is restricted by yard: a recreational vehicle or boat cannot sit in the front yard or the corner side yard of a residential lot unless it is parked on a driveway that meets the City's off-street parking standards, but it may be stored on any type of surface, paved or not, in a rear yard or interior side yard.

A corner-lot rear yard that backs up to a neighbor's side yard has an added rule: the RV cannot sit closer to the street than the neighbor's own required front setback. Size triggers an additional time limit: any recreational vehicle or boat longer than 30 feet cannot be kept outdoors in a residential district at all unless it is actively being loaded, unloaded, cleaned, or prepared for use or storage, and even then it cannot stay outdoors for more than seven days in any 30-day period.
