Waynesville, MO Parking Rules: RV & Boat Parking (2026)

Section 335.050 is appended to the end of Chapter 335's 'Free and Unimpeded Freeway' provision in the Waynesville Municipal Code and imposes a flat 24-hour clock on any recreational vehicle, utility trailer, camper or boat left on a public street, freeway or highway anywhere in the city; once the 24 hours run, the vehicle must move or the owner faces a citation for violating the section. The rule carves out two exceptions: it does not apply to a person actually engaged in loading or unloading the RV, trailer, camper or boat, or to someone actually making emergency repairs to it, and it also exempts a commercial vehicle making a pickup or delivery, or delivering materials for a permitted repair, alteration or construction job, from the 24-hour clock.

The section was last amended by Ord. No. 2173 on October 15, 2015, and sits in the same chapter as the city's general parking-nuisance rule, which treats any vehicle obstructing the free and unimpeded movement of traffic on a Waynesville street or alley as a traffic nuisance. The Waynesville Police Department enforces the limit, and because § 335.050 sets no separate fine, a citation is processed under § 340.020's parking-ticket procedure: a $25.00 parking violation fee if paid within 30 days, or a Municipal Court case sentenced under the city's current Uniform Fine Schedule for Municipal Offenses if it is not.
