10 of Trenton's Traffic chapter, Emergency snow removal, triggers automatically: once snowfall accumulates enough to cover a street or highway, no vehicle may be parked on the major roadways designated in Schedule X, an attachment to Chapter 14 that lists the specific snow-emergency routes street by street. Subsection A keeps the prohibition running even after snow stops falling: it remains in effect until the referenced streets have been plowed sufficiently that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic, so a car left on a route that has not yet been cleared stays in violation the whole time, not just while snow is actively falling.

Subsection B gives the Police Director, or the ranking officer in the Director's absence, authority to declare a parking emergency beyond the fixed Schedule X routes and to order temporary emergency no-parking signs posted on any additional street; those signs, once posted, carry the same force as the schedule itself.
