Carson, CA Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

CMC § 3220(a) directs Carson's traffic enforcement agency, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, plus Code Enforcement and Public Safety security officers under § 3202, to remove to a safe place any vehicle parked or left standing on a public street or alley for 72 or more consecutive hours without being moved under its own power more than one block. Vehicles displaying a valid resident or accessibility oversized-vehicle permit are exempt from the 72-hour rule but remain subject to street cleaning, red zones, preferential parking, and fire-hydrant restrictions. General Traffic Code violations are infractions under § 3204.
