City Code Sec. 94-39 sets the manner of parking: on a two-way street, a vehicle must stop with its right-hand wheels parallel to and within 12 inches of the curb; on a one-way street it must park parallel to the curb in the direction of traffic, right or left wheels within 12 inches of the respective curb. Sec. 94-38 lets the chief of police request signage restricting or prohibiting parking during specified hours, bars parking in a restricted zone for any purpose other than the posted purpose, and deems any vehicle left in a single position more than 24 hours in an otherwise unrestricted area illegally parked.

Sec. 94-40 lists specific bans: double parking, parking on a sidewalk, within an intersection, on a crosswalk, on a bicycle path, on railroad tracks, alongside a yellow curb, in front of a driveway, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, within 30 feet of a stop sign or signal, and within 20 feet of a fire station driveway (75 feet on the opposite side when signposted). Sec. 94-44 bars parking that leaves less than eight feet of a traffic lane open.

Enforcement runs through Sec. 94-3: overtime parking draws a $10 civil penalty per violation, and most other parking violations (blocking, restricted-zone, prohibited-place violations under sections 94-38, 94-39, 94-40(a), 94-41 to 94-46, 94-48 to 94-52 and 94-55) draw a $30 civil penalty, both treated as noncriminal violations under Fla. 1967. Vehicles blocking traffic, disabled in the roadway, or parked illegally for more than 24 hours within 30 feet of the pavement edge may be towed under Sec. 94-4.
